Award given at the Trumbull Republican Town Committee Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on February 28th.
(Trumbull, CT)- William A. Crooks, Republican Board of Finance Member, was named the recipient of the 2010 Frank D. Verrilli Award at the TRTC Annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner held on Sunday, February 28th at Tashua Knolls. The Frank D. Verrilli Award is given each year to an outstanding Republican who has volunteered their time to promote the purpose and interests of the Trumbull Republican Party. The award is named after a lifelong member of the Trumbull Republican Party, Frank D. Verilli.
"Bill Crooks has served the Town of Trumbull as a member of the Board of Finance, serving as Chairman as well", stated Jack Testani, Chairman of the TRTC". "It is truly amazing how Bill can understand and interpret the complex financial data in our budgets while never losing sight of the important decisions he has been entrusted to make for our town" continued Testani. "Bill is both enthusiastic and passionate about his role and is diligent in ensuring our Town's funds are expended responsibly." "Trumbull is a better place because of the service and dedication of Bill Crooks", concluded Testani.
A near capacity crowd,including notable Republican leaders and candidates, were on hand to celebrate the achievements of Mr. Crooks. Those attending included Lt. Governor Mike Fedele, State Representatives T.R. Rowe and Tony Hwang, Senate Candidate Rob Simmons, Congressional Candidates Rob Russo, Dan Dibecella and Rob Merkle, and Gubernatorial candidates Nelson "Oz" Greibel and Mark Lauretti.
