To the Editor:

I am a proud Democrat. I am also a Democrat who is crossing party lines to vote for Tim Herbst on November 3rd.

As a trumbull resident who lives near the mall, my neighbors and I were having trouble with mall management about the effects of mall operations on abutting property owners.

Just when we were ready to give up and throw in the towel, Tim Herbst stepped in to help. He arranged a meeting between my neighborhood and mall management. Tim's effort produced better relations between the neighbors and the mall.

Not only was Tim responsive, but he showed an ability to forge common ground, reach consensus and solve problems. This is the same way he has le the Planning & Zoning Commission as chairman.

Tim has brought Republicans and Democrats together to get positive results for the people of Trumbull. As an attorney with a well-respected Trumbull law firm, Tim has dedicated himself to the cause of helping others. This is the same reason why Tim was appointed by Governor Rell to sit on a state commission with others mayors and first selectman from across Connecticut to make recommendations as to how we can improve state and local government.

Tim Herbst is ready to lead and ready to restore the promise of Trumbull. With Tim, people come first. So take it from this Trumbull Democrat, if you want an amazing leader, then vote for Tim Herbst on November 3rd!
